“And perform properly (i.e., all the ceremonies according to the ways of Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him), the Hajj and Umrah (i.e., the pilgrimage to Makkah) for Allah.” (2:196)
Hajj is a pilgrimage to Makkah. It is Fard (an obligation) upon every accountable able-bodied Muslims of financial means, to complete at least once in their lifetime.

Umrah
Umrah is a minor pilgrimage to Makkah Al-Mukarramah, which may be performed at any time of the year, except during the days of Hajj which takes place between the 9th and 13th of Dhul Hijjah.
“Allah Al-Mighty has made the Sacred House of Allah "the Ka‘bah", an asylum of security and benefits (e.g., Hajj and ‘Umrah) for mankind.” (5:97)
